Hello and welcome to the maiden edition of our ‘PERSON OF THE WEEK’. This column is dedicated to men and women making waves and impacts in their different careers and the world at large.
Today, we have the privilege to Chat with a United States Army Veteran, Dave Jägermeister who, out of his own volition chose to put his life on the line to make the world a better place. Enjoy and grab your take away from our PERSON OF THE WEEK.
CHIOMA: Can you please introduce yourself?
DAVE: I am Dave Jägermeister, former Army guy Travelled extensively doing my job
CHIOMA: What’s the best part about being you?
DAVE:I have seen so many parts of the world , dealt with the high and low and now I’m mellow.
CHIOMA – What’s your defining life moment?
DAVE: When I almost got killed in Iraq….7 seconds from death.
CHIOMA– How do you build your nerves when going to the battlefield?
DAVE –TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING
CHIOMA -What did you take away from your time in the military?
DAVE –Fairness, Openness and no fears.
CHIOMA -Do your ever fantasize about the future or are you been torn in the past?
DAVE –I take life as it comes. Every now and then the past intrudes into my life. But I am generally optimistic.
CHIOMA – What’s your take on being book smart and social intelligence? Which is more profitable in our world today?
DAVE –Book Smart. Social Intelligence right now sells but there are limits. If one is not grounded, it’s easy to shoot off at the mouth without saying anything.
CHIOMA -What Security tips/advice can you give us?
DAVE – Honestly None. The policy makers and politicians only benefit from chaos. But on a personal note, Situational Awareness.
CHIOMA -What’s your exercise Regimen?
DAVE – I walk minimum five miles daily. Glad I don’t have to do 10 miles every other day since am out now.
CHIOMA – What’s your favourite place in the world?
DAVE- Many many, But I will take Miami, Frankfurt and Abu Dhabi.
CHIOMA – Are you a religious person? What’s your idea of God?
DAVE – I am solidly agnostic.
