Do you ever wonder how our ‘internet slay queens’ create flawless and gorgoeus look using the power of makeup?
Well, today we bring you the answer to the above question so you can achieve the same look: bold, fierce or subtle.
First before caking up your face, make sure your face is healthy and don’t use makeup to cover up fresh breakout and burns.
Always invest in good face serum like La Mer (visit cremedelamer.com) or Clinque (Clinque.com) or Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum (Fresh.com), depending on your budget. Slather your face with these illuminating face serums for a glowy look. Please note: drinking water, eating vegetables and fruits will give you a natural glow at a cheaper rate.
Complete Makeup Set:
- Primer
This is applied on the face as a base for foundation so that the make up can last longer and look smoother.
- Foundation
It’s a makeup applied on the face and neck to create an even tone. Before buying foundation, ensure it’s tested on your arm or face to get your exact skin tone. Getting one shade lighter or darker might make you look like a clown, therefore get your correct shade to avoid makeup fail.
There are 4 types of foundations to choose from depending on one’s skin type and they include tinted, liquid, cream and dual finish foundations.
- Concealer
It’s used to hide blemishes or under eye circles and in recent times, it is used for face contouring.
- Corrector
This is different from concealers because they neutralise blemishes. They come in different colours like Green, red, orange, etc.
- Contour Powder
It is used for contouring. Please make sure you use shades of darker powder to contour. If you are using powder to contour, expect to have a more matte look while using cream will give you a dewy look.
- Highlighting/Setting Powder
This is used to bring attention to your facial features like your cheek bones, bridge of the nose, cupid’s brow, etc.
- Loose or Pressed Powder
It is applied to the face and neck to blend all the products used and to have a more finished look.
- Eye Shadow
It works as a base clolour for the eye lid and different colours can be combined to create an artistic look.
- Eye Liner
It is used to create certain appearance to the eyes.
- Mascara
It is used to create volume, add definition and curls to the eye lash.
- Blush
is used to accentuate the face.
- Bronzer
is used to contour the face and to create a shimmer look.
- Makeup Brushes
They are used to apply make up and each has it’s individual use.
