Hello and welcome www.chiomaokoyeakpawusi.com. Hope you had a nice weekend?
Today, we will discuss the importance of a business card for every business especially for bloggers, how it can boost your business, bring in new customers and give your business more credibility.
I never knew the importance of a business card until I printed one. It was a decision I took in church two weeks ago after our pastor’s preaching struck a chord in me.
He talked about how he missed an important contact because he didn’t have a business card. That minute, I realized how I lost many opportunities as well due to a lackadaisical attitude towards my business (blogging).
Business card shows the world that you mean business and also proves your professionalism. I know some people will think this article is for certain people. But I can tell you that it is for everyone!
As a blogger, Word of Mouth can utterly fail you because people tend to forget things easily when they are not in print form.
A business card will always act as a constant reminder and it is also another way to advertise your business.
I printed 50 pieces of business card and after I shared it on the street, I noticed a slight traffic on my blog few days later and lots of email sign ups. You can have similar success story if you follow the guidelines below.
WHAT YOU NEED ON YOUR BUSINESS CARD (FOR BLOGGERS)
1. Your Logo
Although this can be skipped by choice, but personalizing your business card by including your logo adds worth to your business and differentiate your brand from other similar brands. You can create a free logo at https://www.freelogodesign.org/
2. Your full name
Your full name needs to appear on your business card unless you are writing under a pen name or operating as your alter ego then you can skip it.
There is no rule that states that you should include your picture but people easily connect to a picture, which in turn will bring in more sales or followers.
4. Email address
You need your email adress on your business card so your readers can channel their questions or complaints appropriately.
5. Blog url
Since your blog is your brand, you need to include your correct url on your business card. Please ensure the information is correct before printing.
6. Social media Icons
If you have social media pages for your brand, then you’ll need to include it so your readers can follow you there as well.
