In my previous posts, I talked about how to how to excel at customer service , and how to Make money online  but I soon realised some people are still left out. Although I got an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and great questions from that article; but ultimately, my last article only represented a section of people. For this reason, I decided to write this all-inclusive life-changing post and I urge you to read, assimilate and share with all your friends because this post will change their lives as well.

I hate to use negative words like ‘Times are hard’, but it is indeed especially in Nigeria. Most people are out of jobs or living paycheck to paycheck with their current job.

For this reason, more and more people started thinking outside the box and have turned entrepreneurs by taking up unlikely jobs and turning them into an empire. According to more than 50 young Nigerians became celebrated Entrepreneurs in 2016 and we have an example of a 21 year older founder of IndulgeCakes below:

The founder of IndulgeCakes, Pogoson Esesua, 21 started her business out of not wanting to be affected by the unemployment rate in Nigeria. Her passion: ‘During my early period in school as an undergraduate, cake baking was not on my mind. However, along the line, I realised how high the unemployment rate in Nigeria was and still is, I began to give a thought to setting up a business.’

That is just one example out of many but in this post, I won’t be talking about cake baking, traditional tailoring, gele, or makeup training because they are already saturated. I’m not trying to discourage you if you want to venture into any of these fields but being innovative this season will take you far. Stay with me as we explore other jobs that will spin money for you in Nigeria or in any part of the world.

1. Venture into sewing women’s underwear (lingerie)

Undisputedly, many women purchase underwear almost monthly because it is a necessity. Little girls wear theirs too even toddlers. In a household of 5 ladies, imagine the money you will generate yearly if you supply their lingerie.

The truth is: most of our lingerie (local ones) are what we call ‘mass production‘ and most times they look bland and not durable. With this knowledge, you can turn yourself into a celebrated designer like the famous Victoria Secret by designing beautiful sets of lingerie. All you need is a sewing machine, materials, a working space and your ideas. For quick lingerie sewing tutorial, visit: how to make

2. Be an etiquette Consultant

As an etiquette Consultant, you can teach people simple mannerisms and in turn you earn money. You can carve your niche in schools, or in organizations that make use of customer care representatives. Also, you can even bill people hourly to teach them simple etiquette.

This requires very little as you can teach in the comfort of your home or online via Skype, Imo, Whatsapp Video, etc. To get started and for certification, visit: Etiquette consultant course.

3. Write reviews and get paid

How do you think most bloggers make their money? Through paid reviews. You must not be a blogger to write reviews; pick up a book, read it, make corrections or review it, then contact the author and pitch your idea with him/her. You might not earn millions overnight but you definitely will when you become a household name in the said field.

4. Win souls for Christ.

Gone are the days when one was expected to preach on the streets very early in the morning with megaphone in a bid to win souls for Christ. Today, we are in the digital era and there is much more you can do with your internet than watching pornography.

Proverbs 11:30 says:

‘The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.’

You might not receive physical cash for every soul you win for Christ but know that you have greater reward!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Please do me a little favor and share this post with others, for there’s a good chance that it will help them tremendously.

Thank you for sharing this post. My sister always moans that there is no job but I’m one of those that believe jobs abound. I like the first point because it is so practical. Thanks again!
