I know some may be wondering what a leave in conditioner is and of course we have the answer to that question below.

A leave in conditioner is a type of conditioner that is used to moisturize the hair, tame frizz and can be used to dangle natural hair effortlessly. This type of conditioner cannot be rinsed out like the regular rinse out conditioners. But I must say this, while choosing your leave in conditioner, make sure you pay special attention to the ingredients. A good leave in conditioner will always have water as its first ingredient. Also, make sure you never purchase any leave in conditioner with sulphate as ingredients as it will strip your hair of its natural oil.

THE BEST LEAVE IN CONDITIONERS FOR 4C NATURAL HAIR

1. Keracare leave in conditioner

KERACARE

This conditioner comes first on the list because I use it and it leaves my hair unbelievably soft and healthy without causing buildup. Its works perfectly for people with coarse hair and can be used also to create a bouncy effect on 2strand twists. You can get yours from here.

2. O’naturals  leave  in  conditioner

I loved this product because it is the brainchild of a Nigerian trichologist and a natural beauty salon owner, Omozo. The first time I used this product when I had my first big chop in April 2017 and it detangled my hair so well and left it moisturized at the same time. However, I couldn’t find their domain on the web search anymore but if you ever come across it in any hair shop, please make sure you purchase one.

3. Aunt Jackie moisture intensive leave in conditioner

Aunt jackies

Well, this is a very good product with raving reviews. It smells really great as well and leaves the hair moisturised for a long period of time and also, it is very affordable. Aunt Jackies moisture intensive leave in conditioner is eco-friendly and parabens free and another great thing about this leave in conditioner is that it contains spinosa kernel oil which is great for dry tresses. You can get one here.

4. Shea moisture strengthen and restore leave in conditioner

This is one of the leave in conditioners I can swear by because it works. Also, this product contains natural ingredients like raw shea butter, Jamaican black castor oil which is what Shea Moisture brand is known for. It strengthens and restores the hair at the same time and it comes in a bigger tube than all listed above; it comes in a 16 oz tube. You can get yours here

  1. Aunty Jackies products are highly over hyped and they never worked for me. while Shea moisture on the other hand is ridiculously overpriced and it begs the question? Why do blacks exploit their own?
