1.  FACIAL CLEANSING GEL/ SOAP/ FOAM

As the name implies, these products are manufactured just for the face and the neck. The face requires tender loving care all the time and washing your face with a cleansing soap is a step in the right direction.

Before you buy cleansing agent for your face, first consider your skin type. I wrote a book on how you can identify your skin type and the right product to use. It is available  here.

If you have a dry skin, then I will advise you to stay away from facial products with harsh ingredients that is capable of stripping your face of moisture such as: Isopropyl alcohol, sodium chloride, etc.

Note: Always make sure you read the labels first before making your purchase.

I use Uriage Hyseac cleansing gel and it purifies and cleanses the face at the same.

2. THERMAL WATER

This product is highly recommended because it helps to infuse moisture in the face, thereby reducing the possibility of breakouts and refreshes the face. It can also be used to set the makeup and it feels cool on the face especially when refrigerated.

I use Vichy mineralizing thermal water which contains more than 15 minerals and works so well.

3. SERUM

I wrote extensively about serum  here and I think it’s one of the products you should never fail to use if you want a brighter and younger face.

4. MOISTURIZER

Do you want to knock off 10 years off your real age? Then use a moisturizer. A good moisturizer moisturises the skin and locks in moisture leaving the skin nourished. Read more about moisturizer here.

When choosing your moisturizer, make sure it contains hyaluronic acid which is one of the ingredients that delays the ageing process. Also, go for  moisturizers that are oil-free if you have oily skin.

I use Vichy Minéral 89 Daily Skin Booster Serum and Moisturizer and it contains no parabens nor oil and also doubles as a serum.

5. EYE CREAM
