Hello and welcome back to my blog. If you are a new here, I say a very big welcome to you and I hope you make http://www.chiomaschmitz.com your go-to-page for all your beauty needs. To be frank. I’ve slacked in my duties as a blogger by not putting out contents for some time. I sincerely apologise for that and I hope to do better from now onwards.
Also, I realised that we have new visitors who have been mooching around for some time. Therefore, I will encourage you to subscribe to our monthly newsletter and receive a free copy of SKIN-CARE-ROUTINE-MANUAL-ebook
The Korean beauty industry is a huge industry that have been making waves in the beauty industry. Many of us have joined the bandwagon to see if achieving youthful ‘glass skin’ like the Koreans really work. The Korean skin care routine have been criticised like every other innovation. One for being too expensive, time-consuming and a hoax. This new experiment of mine costs about Euro 150 every month
However, on whichever fence you are sitting on, I hope you take time to read about my personal experience with the Korean Skincare Routine and the right way to go about it.,
There are about eleven steps in this Korean skincare routine, but I will share my thoughts with you on the most important and the least important.
THE CLEANSING OIL

Oil cleansers are actually the base and usually the first step in the Korean skincare routine. It helps to remove makeup, dirt and other invisible junks from the face. Also it helps to ensure that the skin is not dried out during cleansing.
OBSERVATION: I find this to be useful only if you wore makeup prior to cleansing. Or at least twice weekly.
WATER BASED CLEANSER

This sounds like a lot but the Koreans swear by double-cleansing. It helps to purify the skin and get it ready for the next process.
OBSERVATION: This step is very important and should be incorporated into the morning and night routine.
EXFOLIATION

This process keeps the pores clean and help to remove dead skin cells making it easy for the products to penetrate.
OBSERVATION: This shouldn’t be done daily. Personally, I think three times a week is sufficient especially for people with acne-prone skin.
TONER

This helps to balance the skins pH levels and to enable the skin to absorb the subsequent products.
OBSERVATION: This step should not be substituted!
ESSENCE

I never knew that essence was a thing in the skin care industry until I started the Korean skincare regimen. This helps to hydrate the skin. They also contain anti-aging and complexion-enhancing ingredients. This step is indespensible in the Korean Skin routine.
AMPOULES

This targets a particular skin care concern like fine lines or acne. However, I use Ampoules to treat hyperpigmentation and scars from my chemical burn. I believe that this step is not for everyone, but for people with dark scars or fine lines/ wrinkles.
SERUMS

This is very necessary in the korean skin care routine. They help with hydration and also target specific skin care concerns like Ampoules.
EYECREAM

Eye cream is used to moisturize the eye area which is very delicate and often neglected by many. Eyecream should be used every morning and night.
SHEET MASKS

This is the soul of the Korean skincare routine. They help your face to absorb all the nutrients.
OBSERVATION: I realised that this does little or absolutely nothing for me which is why i use it once a week. However, it has a soothing effect and tricks my brain to think that my skin is being pampered.
MOSTURIZER

This is used to seal in the moisture and to plump the skin. It is one of the integral part of the Korean skincare routine.
SUNSCREEN

This is a huge aspect in the Korean skincare routine. They help to prevent premature aging and of course Melanoma. It is usually used in the morning , whether you are indoor or outdoor.
I know, it sounds like it is a lot of work , but when you get the hang of it, you will enjoy this daily skin pampering routine.

Also, I use a cleansing brush and later bio oil after the 7th step to clear my acne scars.
Please note that the prices of the products are accurate at the time this post was published .
MY SKIN IS ALSO NOT FLAWLESS YET BUT IT HAS IMPROVED A GREAT DEAL AND I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS REGIMEN FOR A MONTH!
Also, most of these products are available on http://www.amazon.com or yvesrocher.de

I just discovered your page recently and I must commend your efforts on putting out insightful tips. I implement most of them and they have been working for me. Thank you very much!
However, I’m really concerned with the double cleansing method. Won’t it be too stripping on the skin? And can one get these products in UK?

I am so happy to hear that Katherine ❤️❤️❤️
And to answer your questions: double cleansing Does not affect the skin negatively. It only makes sure that your skin is squeaky clean but not in a drying way. But then again it depends on the cleansing gel you use. You can check out products from Yves rocher.. They have mostly plant-based products which are way better than the ones with chemicals. Also, I think they ship worldwide http://www.yvesrocher.de
