The dry air teind to dry out our skin during the fall/winter seasons. This is particularly worse for people with the dry skin type , which may cause their skin to flake or even break out. For this reason, it is paramount to introduce hydrating ingredients/products to your skincare regime. Not only do they hydrate your skin, they may help fix other skincare issues like acne. 1. Aloe vera

This Plant is tested and trusted in the Skincare industry. It has this instant soothing effect and will help your skin retain moisture. Its moisturising and hydrating effects can be noticed immediately when applied to the skin. The only downside is that the gooey juice might be sticky on your skin. A better alternative will be the 100% aloe vera juice, which can be used as a toner or a face mist.

2. Rose water

It helps to keep your skin hydrated for hours, when applied on a clean skin. Also, it helps to improve the texture of the skin. The good thing about rose water, is that it helps shrink your pores and doesn’t dry out your skin. Saturate a cotton pad with your rose water and dab it onto your skin and neck. Once your face is semi-dry, apply your favourite moisturiser.

3. Hyaluronic Acid

This is an all time favourite of mine. It is a powerful skin hydrator and can be used by all skin types. I wrote extensively about hyaluronic acid here.

Which ever product you choose, make sure to apply a moisturiser afterwards.
